1. Connect to the Internet and Launch Outlook Express. At the menu at the top of the screen, select "Tools" and then "Accounts."
2. In the Internet Accounts window, select the News tab. Click "Add" and then "News."
3. An Internet Connection Wizard will appear. Type your real name in the Display name field. Then click Next.
4. Type in your email address and click Next.
5. In the News (NNTP) server: field, type newshost.allthenewsgroups.com. Put a check in the box that reads "My news server requires me to log on." Then click Next.
6. In the Account name field, type your eight-digit account name (for example, nn123456.) In the Password field, enter your password. It is optional whether or not you wish to have Outlook Express remember your password. Then click Next.
7. Click Finish.
8. Click Close.
9. Outlook Express will now prompt you to download newsgroups. Make sure you are still connected to the Internet (otherwise reconnect) and then hit Yes.
10. That's it! You may now begin searching for newsgroups of your interest.
