Netscape Messenger

1. Connect to the Internet and launch Netscape Messenger.

2. From the menu at the top of the screen, click "Edit" and then select "Preferences."

3. Under "Mail & Newsgroups" select the "Identity" tab. Enter your real name and email address.

4. Select the "Newsgroup Servers" tab. Click "Add."

5. A dialog box will pop up. Enter the server name newshost.allthenewsgroups.com. Put a check in the box that says "Always use name and password." click OK.

6. You will now be back to the Preferences window in the Newsgroup Servers section. You may set newshost.allthenewsgroups.com as your default news server by clicking "Set as Default." (unless it is already set as the default.) Then click OK.

7. Select newshost.allthenewsgroups.com as shown below, right click and select "Subscribe to Newsgroups..."

8. A Netscape User Prompt will appear. At this prompt, enter your eight character username (for example: nn123456) and hit OK.

9. At the Password Entry Dialog, enter your password provided at signup. Then hit OK.

10. Netscape will now begin to retrieve the complete list of Newsgroups. You may now subscribe to the newsgroups of your choice!
